History

It's been a long road to be in the position Exhibitionists find themselves in. Meeting in 1992, while in High School, JK and Matt dreamed of creating the ultimate exciting rock and roll band. Re-locating to vancouver in 1994, they played together in an endless succession of bands, none of which ever really went anywhere. In 2001 while JK was playing with Sound Pressure Manifest and Chasing Jones and Matt in the Khyber Rifles, they starting writing new material that was unlike anything on the scene at that time.

Later in 2001 they recruited Greg Buhr (Maxidad, the Manvils), then playing bass in Sound Pressure Manifest, and the magical lineup was complete.

Early in 2003 they recorded the Electric E.P. as White Licorice, but that album was never released.

The band continued to gig, write and practice through the mid 2000's, honing their skills and doggedly pursuing the original dreams of being a rock and roll force to be reckoned with. Unfortunately, with no support, money or prospects, the band went nowhere. But even with no hope of anyone hearing them, the band played on, for the shear love of music alone.

Late in 2008, the band's fortunes changed when they recruited Terry 'Sho Murray, who had played in Maxidad with greg, to produce the new album. Terry did extensive pre-production with Exhibitionists and became the fourth member of the band. With Terry's guidance, experience and amazing production the album took on a life of it's own and landed them a deal with Terry's fledgling label Shostroud Productions.

With Matt traveling around the country doing lighting production, and Greg touring with Manvils, recording took close to a year, but the results are an amazing record that has already started to generate a buzz even before being officially released.
